Apprentice Finishes Journey to Journeyman
It is our pleasure to congratulate Mr. Paul Lingenfelter, a fourteen-year veteran of Elrae Industries for recently attaining his Tool & Die Journeyman Certificate through a New York State Department of Labor program. Together with Paul, Elrae’s entire Tool & Die shop is now staffed with certified Journeymen of the skilled trade.
Paul started at Elrae in 1987 as a press operator, coming to us with his AAS degree from Hudson Valley Community College. Throughout the years Paul learned as much as he could about the shop environment and grew to know the ins and outs of metal stampings quite well. Paul’s sense of accomplishment and desire to improve led him to take interest in the Tool & Die area of our shop. As apprentice to Tool Room Journeyman, Al Scinta, Paul worked four years to complete the program’s requirements. It has taken time, patience and plenty of work on Paul’s part. He has achieved his goal and the staff at Elrae couldn’t be more proud of and for him.
